The Evolution of Virtual Realities in Cyberpunk and the Real World

Since its inception in the early 1980s, cyberpunk has established two distinct kinds of worlds. There’s the post-industrial dystopian cityscape, like modern Japan on crack but shaded with enough darkness to be appropriately noir-y; and there’s cyberspace, the virtual world running parallel (or sometimes perpendicular) to the real one. With corrupt corporations calling the shots, it makes sense that the punks would retreat into the digital space, an idealized version of their downtrodden daily lives malleable enough that they can create their own private universe. When you can look whatever way you want and challenge the laws of physics, why would you want to return to the real world?

Battletech Collectible Card Game

WorkshopImageUploadThe BattleTech Collectible Card Game is a collectible card game set in the BattleTech universe developed by Wizards of the Coast (WotC) for FASA using a similar style of gameplay and card distribution as WotC’s Magic: The Gathering. It was designed by Richard Garfield. Its production ran from 1996 through 2001. The BattleTech CCG featured BattleMechs, characters, and technology from the original board game, with new artwork done by various artists.

Battleborn Open Beta

BattlebornGearbox is running open beta of their latest project Battleborn. It will be open from 13-18th April on Steam. Battleborn is team shooter from Gearbox Software who aims to compete in the trendy market of team shooters. Kung Fu Fighting Card Game

KFF_CoverKung Fu Fighting by Slugfest Games is one of my favorite card games. I found it in the local board game shop by accident. I was drawn to it by the name and the cover art. It was fairly cheap so I snatched it.

This great game is out of print, so I did it justice and immortalized it in Tabletop Simulator. This is the mod of the 1st Edition of Kung Fu Fighting card game. All rights are owned by SlugFest Games.
